1- JMC is connected via fiber to Globecast network.
2- JMC upgraded playout center to 80 channels.
3- Delivering high quality with bandwidth (BW) effective is one of the main
targets for JMC broadcasting strategy ,to achieve the target JMC with
Thomson TV contracted to build a new MPEG 4 compression system for 44 TV
channels Platform to be immigrated from SD MPEG 2 to SD MPEG 4 all channels
are encrypted and distributed over Nile Sat 101 covering MENA subscribers.
The new system installation & integration 2012 planned to be On air by
middle of April 2012,this migration will improve the services quality and
empty some BW over 101 which has a very strong marketing demand in MENA
region.
4- To expand the existing E/S traffic capability over Arab sat C _band targeting
the continent Africa, JMC contracted an upgrade project with Vislink to increase
the number of Transponder handled by the E/S from One transponder to Six in Both
polarization , this will allow satellite operators or JMC customers to access
more Transponders with high quality ,cost effective services delivery, the new
project will be commissioned by mid of May 2012 and the facility will be ready
for service as soon as commissioned.
5- Yah Sat is the new DTH /HD satellite in the MENA & Europe, JMC has contracted
to deliver the Compression &up linking services over MENA & Europe Beams. The
new E/S installation will take place by mid of April 2012 and it should be
commissioned by Mid of may 2012 , mean while JMC is delivering the services for
Yah sat using one of the backup existing E/S to meet the urgent demand of Yah
sat as they are considering JMC one of the main platform for DTH satellite
services delivery.
